Strong winds Thursday night into Friday combined with several inches of fresh, loose snow available for transport will keep avalanche danger elevated into the weekend:

After a brief window of blue skies and lighter winds early Thursday, winds increased across Chugach State Park Thursday afternoon. Widespread snow transport was observed from the south to north ends of the Front Range (McHugh and Temptation areas pictured):
