Observations

Upper Peters Creek:

Enjoyable snow in the upper half of the Peeking X couloir, and bad snow in the lower half. Thin, but mostly skinnable in the Peters Creek valley bottom. Hard snow in the Rumble apron, then awesome dense powder, until ice the last 100 yards to the top. The chimney to the summit snowfield was ice free and a straightforward scramble. Of note, 5mm surface hoar on the summit snowfield. Mostly laid over but would be scary with new snow given the exposure. Fun, softish skiing on Raina. No formal stability tests, but no signs of instability observed.
