Observations

Eagle River

Climbed and skied two big, steep northerly couloirs from ~6500′ in a tributary to the north of Eagle River.  Found calf to knee deep powder, with significant old debris on the aprons below this fresher snow.  Skiing triggered medium volume and pace sluff that was long running (up to ~1500′).  Wet loose avalanches, starting primarily as point releases from steep and rocky areas, were occurring by mid afternoon on solar aspects.
