Hatcher Pass – April Bowl
Pretty good early season skiing in April bowl today – much better than last weekend. 4-5″ dry powder on a relatively smooth and supportable windblasted, melt-freeze base. Long running D1 sluffs on the steeper terrain in the area, but no other signs of instability. However, numerous windslabs were observed in the Hatcher Pass area Saturday, October 26 up to size D3. SE winds picking up and starting to lightly load leewards by mid afternoon on Saturday, November 2. Windslab danger may again increase accordingly.
