Observations
Front Range – Near Point:
4:30-6:00pm
Quick evening hike to the top of Near Point revealed ~2-3″ of very low density new snow from the trailhead to the summit with only a slight increase in snowfall with increasing elevation. Fresh wind slabs are expected in the upper elevations throughout the park, as evidenced by cracking and slabby wind loaded snow on leeward terrain and in deposition areas in the upper elevations of Near Point.
