April 2, 2018 Suicide Peaks and Windy Gap above Rabbit Lake in #ChugachStatePark: the backyard #mountain playground of #Anchorage #Alaska. Expect crusty, icy conditions on E, S, and W aspects in the #alpine the next few days as cloudy conditions hinder the #sun from softening things up and ripening the 🌽 . Variable, dry snow exists on northerly aspects. There’s a chance for a bit of fresh #snow in the #mountains the next few days, with Wednesday seeming to hold the most promise. 🤞 for #snow and reasonable temps to keep the spring #skiing and #FRangeLove primo through April. #Avalanche danger is generally moderate, with avalanche activity more likely north of Ship Creek and later in the day if warming is significant enough to weaken the snowpack.
