Eagle River – Mt. Significant:

Accessed Mt. Significant in Eagle River via the Ram Valley Trailhead. The ridge to the summit was mostly clear of any actual snowpack until 4000ft. Slopes of west aspect looked to be quite wind loaded around 4000ft+. No red flags or signs of instability. Mostly stayed on the ridge to the summit. After 4000ft+ on the ridge, there were some small cornices. Lots of wind loading on both south and north aspects on slopes as well after 4000ft+. Most snow on the ridge was very hard packed, couldn’t even get an ice ax through.
