March 4, 2018 #HatcherPass obs today: #snowpit below access saddle to Arkose north ridge, ~4400’, 284* W aspect, 32* slope, ECTN6 down ~25 cm at density change in last week’s (Monday) #snow, ECTN14 down ~60cm in adjacent pit at looser faceted layer between denser settled and windpacked layers (this layer cracked beyond test parameters in pit shown).
