Front Range – Rabbit Creek:
Light snow and wind on Peak 3 today. Didn’t seem like much wind last night. 35* at trailhead with 4″ of snow on road and at least double that up high.
Nordic conditions in town:
Chester Creek Trail: Skate skied between Tikishla Park and MLK ball fields this afternoon. No groom. Good edging today and generally good glide. Seemed like glide was better north of Tudor than south, but maybe it was my imagination or maybe more traffic packing down the wet snow. Reminder that tunnel under MLK Blvd is icy. Tudor overpass very thin and best to double pole on outside of bend as I noticed skate tracks on inside that appeared to hit pavement. Northern Lights bridge at Goose Lake has the new snow packed onto the thick ice and is in good condition.
