When you get to know the #mountains well enough your own two feet can often be faster, more efficient, and funner for accessing seemingly distant terrain than a snowmobile. This day was a good example. As an epically classic Southcentral #Alaska window of high pressure has ended, here’s a look back at what transpired at #HatcherPass over a week ago near the start of that window. There’s also some beta on the snowpack and its persistent weak layers.
